    NEUROPSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATE

    Full-time office space, testing materials available for sharing, and referrals might make this a good opportunity for an early-career neuropsychologist starting a private practice. The associate will work part-time for Dr. O’Grady but is encouraged to see his or her own patients in the remaining time.

    • The neuropsychological associate will collaborate with Dr. David O’Grady in performing neuropsychological assessments. 15-20 hours per week. Primary responsibilities will include:


    • ·       Administer neuropsychological tests to children and adults (age 5 years and older).
    • ·       Score neuropsychological tests.
    • ·       Tabulate test results in a table of scores.
    • ·       Manage inventory of neuropsychological tests.
    •  

      Additional responsibilities may include:

    • ·       Prepare written reports with interpretation of performance on neuropsychological tests.
    • ·       Assist in clinical interview of non-English-speaking examinees through interpretation and direct interview (if candidate has language skill).
    • ·       Other administrative duties as requested.

    • Population served: The population is demographically and diagnostically diverse, representing the full range of conditions typically seen in an outpatient neuropsychology practice.

    • ·       Pediatric clinical evaluations include patients with brain tumors, leukemia and other forms of cancer, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, genetic disorders, complex learning disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
    • ·       Adult clinical evaluations include patients with TBI, mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, primary progressive aphasia, stroke, epilepsy, brain tumors, systemic medical conditions, and various psychiatric disorders.
    • ·       Medical-legal evaluations include examinees with TBI, neurotoxic exposure, PTSD, depression, somatic symptom disorder, and other psychiatric conditions.

    • Qualifications:  

    • ·       Formal training and supervised clinical experience in administration of psychological and neuropsychological tests. Prefer licensed psychologist. Will consider pre-licensed with PhD or Master’s degree.
